Test Lab
Mechanical testing uses impact, tensile and hardness testing to safety of our precast concrete accessories
Before the delivery, we need the report to reassurance and certify that our precast concrete accessories were qualified for an intended use, such as lifting, connection or meets the customer’s specifications.
The testing is an integral process to test our metal or alloy products performs under exacting conditions and whether it complies with the qualified products standards.
At both our lab and our partner’s laboratories, our qualified and experienced technicians provide impact, tensile and hardness test using advanced testing equipment in accordance with the European and American standards.
1.Impact testing
Impact testing measures the product’s ability to absorb energy when fractured at high velocity. This gives an indication of the ‘toughness’ of the precast concrete accessories and two methods are usually employed for impact testing, Charpy or Izod.
2.Tensile testing
Tensile Testing, or Tension Testing, is used to determine the behaviors of the precast concrete accessories when it is being pulled. Tensile testing can measure yield strength, proof strength and ultimate tensile strength. We have a range of testing machines that can test from 300kN to 3000kN.
3.Hardness testing
Hardness testing assesses the impact of the metal or alloy products to permanent indentation, and the depth or size of the indent is measured to determine a hardness value. There are several different hardness tests, and we use the Brinell, Vickers and Rockwell methods.
By using mechanical testing, we have the Total Quality Assurance that our products will be qualified, and our test results will be provided to the customer as a part of report enclosed with the necessary information to help to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the products or the material selection conforms to the qualified product standards.
